Silverton Mountain is the world’s only backcountry ski resort. Not a camp for the beginning skier; there is no grooming at Silverton Mountain - making it the ideal place for a telemark steepskiing camp. With a perfect north-south risilvertonmountain.com/dge line you can ski 2000 ft east faces in the morning and even bigger west faces in the afternoon. This camp occurs during Silverton's guided season - we will spend our weekend chasing powder without crowds. You will come away from this weekend a smarter and stronger skier; guaranteed. At this camp we will focus on; technical steep telemark skiing, powder skiing, avalanche and terrain awareness, line choice and big mountain telemark skiing techniques. Silverton offers heli-skiing so if the group agrees we can test our skills in the even bigger mountains on the last day of the camp. Visit http://silvertonmountain.com/ for mountain info.
